This past weekend we had the pleasure of having some of our nieces and nephews over for a sleepover. This was there combined Christmas gift from Uncle Dustin & Aunt Janelle and boy was it a hoot!
We started the night off with a rousing Sorry tournament.
Kyla was our Sorry queen!

Afterwards we put together a candy craft that was fitting
to the featured film planned for that night, Cars 2.

One of the many race cars!
After the movie, the kids headed upstairs to get ready for bed only to find that they turned our upstairs loft/hallway into a slip and slide! This entertained them for about another 45 minutes.
The blanket bandits!
The next morning we woke up to a snow covered yard and enjoyed breakfast while talking about the joys and woes of being a kid. What fun group to hang out with, we had a blast!
I know the special memories these young ones will hold in their hearts. You two sure do know how to open your hearts and home. It looks like so much fun. The last picture of you and Dustin is so good!
What fun! And what a great aunt and uncle you toe are!
oops! "you two are"
How hilarious to watch the slip and slide....those cousins will never forget the fun they had with you and Dustin. Oh, to have an Aunt and Uncle like these!! And nice work on those finely sanded and finisthed floors, Dustin! Thanks for sharing this fun evening with us, too!
OK...just let me say that I have been thinking about what a HUGE and unique influence Aunts and Uncles have, superseeding in many ways, that of the children's parents. YOU are using that special influence in the VERY BEST, most CREATIVE and loving of ways!!!! Seriously, this was not just a sleepover, this was part of impacting their lives for all of their lives. I SO Admire you!!!!
