My favorite flower

Saturday we decided to get out of the house after a long and productive day of working. Our destination? Wrightsville, PA for a delicious dinner at John Wrights Restaurant where we enjoyed
the view immensely!

But first we stopped at a farm on the side of the road and hung out in a field of happy sunflowers. The view went on forever, it was amazing. Thank you Lord for sunflowers!

Anniversary Weekend In New York

This week we'll be celebrating two years of friendship followed by three years of marriage. What started as a planned, quiet weekend at home, ended up as a last minute surprise trip to the big apple. After keeping it a secret for a whole day, Dustin gave up and had to let me know where we were headed. The first time we went to New York with each other on one of our many dates, we received very good advice from our inquisitive Taxi Driver. He said, "You two need to hang onto each other." It was a sweet moment and we knew he was right, even though he didn't know a thing about us. He then proceeded to finish his sentence... "you need to hang onto each other, you will have good looking kids." Ok then, thanks. Not awkward at all. It was an odd moment but a fun memory no less.

It was a clear, beautiful day as we walked the streets of New York. We toured the NBC studios, learned about the network's history and got a first hand look at the news rooms and late night studios. We climbed to the 'Top of the Rock' and took in the incredible skyline from
above. Afterwards we dined at Da Marino, a quaint little Italian restaurant and ended up walking around Time Square taking in the high energy and the never ending display of lights. Thank you babe for a wonderful weekend. I love you very much!

Money Saver: Paint Your Existing Vanity
Vanities aren't cheap. Especially when you can only find vanities half the size of what we already had for close to $800 bucks??? No thank you. So we decided to update a cheaper way and paint the original vanity as well as change the hardware, sink and counters. It's amazing what paint can do. We saved a ton.

I can't tell you how excited I am to have a new, CLEAN toilet without a crusty, matted carpet seated below. I no longer fear this area.

Once again, with all the hours of sweat and dedication to every detail, Dustin has made another room come to life with his hard work and love for this house... and his girl. :)
