Happy Birthday Grace!!!

Gracie turns one!

Not sure of the whole happy birthday thing.
I'd cry too if I had to wear that hat. :)

We love you Grace!

Hanging with a bird

Having plenty of trees around the house, we definitely
get to listen to the mighty chorus of birds singing!
(not to mention the mighty amount of bird poo on my car)
We've made many bird friends. Some that like to fly and smack themselves into our house,
some that have found a hangout spot on our window sills and recently
one that just wanted to chill with us...

Dustin making a friend...

Confused as to why this bird wouldn't fly away when
we walked up to it, we examined it.
It didn't look hurt, the wings were intact, and it didn't look like a baby bird.
Maybe it's lost and needs some love...
Hmmm... ok, so let's hold it and take a picture with it!
(Don't worry, we washed our hands when we were done.)

Below is another one of our feathered friends
sitting on our window unit smiling for the picture.
We are getting to know the doves very well around here.

~House Update~

Yes! That is a paint roller!
We have officially started to paint the master bedroom!
I will post more pictures when finished.

Happy Mommy Day!

Here's to a bunch of great moms!!

A mother is a giver, and what sets her apart is that
she gives of her best, for she gives from her heart.

(My beautiful mom)

She speaks wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

Proverbs 31:26

(mom, me and my two favorite fingers
at one of our many church picnics)

(Mom Landis (my second mom) and little Dustin
with suspenders and a bow tie!)

(Mom Mom and Kyla with Micah on his first day!)

Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:

Proverbs 31:28

(Jen & Gracie after a bath)

She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.

Proverbs 31:25

(Selah giving Cheryl a big hug!)

She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Proverbs 31:27

(Karen helping her strapping boys put on their new robes!)

A woman who fears and reverences God shall be greatly praised.

Proverbs 31:30

Your gift will return to you in full and overflowing measure. Luke 6:38
