This week we'll be celebrating two years of friendship followed by three years of marriage. What started as a planned, quiet weekend at home, ended up as a last minute surprise trip to the big apple. After keeping it a secret for a whole day, Dustin gave up and had to let me know where we were headed. The first time we went to New York with each other on one of our many dates, we received very good advice from our inquisitive Taxi Driver. He said, "You two need to hang onto each other." It was a sweet moment and we knew he was right, even though he didn't know a thing about us. He then proceeded to finish his sentence... "you need to hang onto each other, you will have good looking kids." Ok then, thanks. Not awkward at all. It was an odd moment but a fun memory no less.
It was a clear, beautiful day as we walked the streets of New York. We toured the NBC studios, learned about the network's history and got a first hand look at the news rooms and late night studios. We climbed to the 'Top of the Rock' and took in the incredible skyline from
above. Afterwards we dined at Da Marino, a quaint little Italian restaurant and ended up walking around Time Square taking in the high energy and the never ending display of lights. Thank you babe for a wonderful weekend. I love you very much!
We cannot believe that it is 5 years already. John quessed 3 when I asked him how long he thinks it was since your wedding. What a kind gesture on your husband's part. He is such a special guy! We wish both of you a belated anniversary and many more enjoyable years together. What talent God created when He brought the two of you together.
Sweet pictures of a very sweet couple...we love you both so much. Thanks for sharing pictures of your special time with us. We're glad you "hung on to each other!"
